Being a marketer is sort of like riding a roller coaster whose tracks constantly change directions. During a typical day, you routinely make the following exclamations:
Google is doing what?!
We got a bad review where?!
Why can't I get us on the first page of results for this keyword?!
This whole blogging thing works how?!
Google Analytics is too confusing!
Too Many Marketing Resources
Chances are, you turn to the wonderful world wide web for answers to your every marketing question, and you use it to try to stay abreast of everything that's happening in the world of web marketing. However, the sheer number of blogs and bloggers talking about web marketing is so vast that it's easy to get lost in a sea of content.
So, which sources should you trust, and where can you go to learn about web marketing without getting so overwhelmed?
And the winner is...
My solution: Twitter. I know, I know…just stick with me for a second. There are literally thousands of marketing professionals on Twitter, all begging for your eyes to be ogling their content. In fact, Twitter is probably THE most overwhelming source of content.
So, why Twitter? If you haven't tried using the List function of Twitter, it's time to check it out. In my opinion, this is hands down the best way to curate the content that matters to you. Creating a list makes it so that you can view Tweets from only those people on your list, rather than everyone you follow.
The List
If you're in marketing, it's possible that you've willy-nilly followed a ton of people that have "marketing" in their bio, along with just general news and any other interests that you have and have decided to follow. That's why I made this list for you! This list represents the most trustworthy and important web marketing resources on the web. This is a list that you can go to not only keep up on web marketing news, but also visit the websites of the sources to search for answers to your specific marketing questions.
The best part is, these sources don't only tweet their own content - they link to other trustworthy and newsworthy things as well.
At any rate, follow the link below to see the list. You'll see a button on the left (if you're signed into Twitter) that says "Subscribe". After clicking that, you'll be able to access it whenever by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right and choosing "Lists". Or bookmark it, of course!
